About me

My creative journey began in childhood, influenced by the knitting, embroidery, and sewing talents of my grandmother, mother, and sister. What started as a creative hobby has grown into a lifelong passion for crafting dolls that inspire joy, magic, and imagination. I was a philology teacher by profession, but after my son was diagnosed with autism, I dedicated myself to his care and development. Today, I am proud to see him and his brother flourish into smart and beautiful teenagers.

Embracing the time spent at home allowed me to reconnect with my creative side, leading me to develop natural toys for my kids. Eventually, this path led to my deep love for doll making, and in 2010, I opened my Etsy shop, Darling Waldorf Dolls. Now, at 49 years old, I continue finding joy in crafting dolls from natural, organic materials that bring warmth and happiness into the lives of children and adults alike.

Each doll I create is imbued with love and care, designed to offer companionship, comfort, and a touch of wonder. Whether it’s through the soft wool, hand-embroidered details, or the comforting weight of organic materials, my dolls are meant to inspire and evoke the magic of childhood.

Thank you for visiting my shop. I hope my creations bring a little bit of enchantment to your life, as they have brought to mine.

Warm regards,
Farida
